About the work
Wilma Kobrinsky was a Canadian painter who moved to Southern California in the 1960s. Kobrinsky painted on location in Santa Barbara and Goleta using oils and later watercolors. This is an original oil painting from 1975 of a pasture and barn just North of Santa Barbara in Gaviota, California.  Kobrinsky's love of the Southern California landscape and light is evident in her masterful colors and composition.
